Dr. Carl Baugh presents Start Again Ministries with a limited recreation of  The Great Isaiah Scroll!

Dr. Carl E. Baugh of Creation Evidencein Glen Rose, Texas, presented Start Again Ministries, Inc. with a limited recreation of The Great Isaiah Scroll last Thursday just before shooting a series of teachings to be aired on TBN.  The Scroll was used by Dr. Baugh during his teaching series to expound on the wonderful and detailed plan God has for each and everyone of our lives.

Isaiah 64:4 "For since the beginning of the world [men] have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, [what] he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him."

Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint."

Isaiah 9:6  "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Isaiah 52:7 "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!"

Isaiah 6:8 "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here [am] I; send me."

Isaiah 40:8 "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever."

The Great Isaiah Scroll

The Dead Sea Scroll of Isaiah is exceptionally important, for it is the same - except for a few letter forms - as was basic to the received text of the Bible.  It was written in ancient Hebrew and was dated to about 125 B.C.  It was a copy of the original scroll of Isaiah that was first written about 700 B.C.  The recovered scroll was buried for almost 2,000 years.  Presumably the burning (evident from the extensive scorching of the Great Isaiah Scroll) would have been by the Romans, possibly in A.D. 70, during the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple by General Titus Vespasian.  By the time these Scrolls were fully recognized as being genuine by virtually all archaeologists, the year was 1948, the same year that Israel was formally declared a nation - on May 14, 1948.
