START AGAIN MINISTRIES

Christian Air Corps and Angels Flight Academy

Today, I’m sitting in the Custom Pilot hangar at Hooks Airport in Houston, TX.  As I write this, I glance out the window to my right and see the hand of God at work.  What an incredible addition to the ministry He has entrusted to us.  For those of you that do not already know; Start Again Ministries is growing.  Recently, we began a work to train pilots to support missionary work around the world and to provide transportation to mission personnel in remote areas of the world.  Our first graduate of the program is a wonderful man of God.  His name is Victor Ojabo.  He came from Nigeria to learn to fly.  Victor is the head of missions at his church in Nigeria and believes the Lord has called him to support the gospel by providing transportation to remote villages for mission efforts.  Many times over the past weeks we have seen God’s plan unfolding.

First, we had not planned to have a flight school at this time.  I really just “happened” to stop in at a hangar to look around.  We had our first two aircraft in two separate hangars due to the lack of space.  I stopped by this hangar and told the gentleman that greeted me “ I need your hangar”.  You should have seen the look on his face.  He asked me why I said that.  I told him I need a hangar for the ministry aircraft and to teach people how to fly to help preach the gospel.  He said, and I quote… “Wow, that’s funny.  I just got off the phone with the airport owner and told him I wanted out of my lease.”  He went on to say that there was about a 2 year waiting list for this hangar and that the owner did not want to cause a political storm, so the current tenant had to find the NEXT tenant.  We signed the lease that afternoon.  Even funnier, the gentleman said he was closing his flight school and moving out of state.  (A flight school, hmmm how convenient!)  He blessed us with all the furniture, computers, books, paperwork, etc that we would need for just a few dollars.  What a blessing!  Then, to top it off.  The job out of state did not work out and he stayed on as a wonderful addition to our staff and the lead flight instructor!

Meanwhile, Victor, from Nigeria, had been praying.  He only was able to secure a one month VISA to come to the U.S. for training.  He was originally going to Oklahoma for his flight training, but he felt the Lord led him to Houston, TX.  A friend of his told him of our school and that he heard we train missionary pilots.  This is odd, since we have not advertised!  So, on April 2nd he landed from Nigeria and came directly to our school and took his first discovery flight.  He said God told him to come and he was here to learn to fly.  Lessons started on April 3rd and he passed his F.A.A. private pilot check ride on Saturday, April 26th!  Take out the Easter weekend and a few bad weather days, and that made only 18 training days.  No small coincidence that Saturday was he and his wife’s 6th wedding anniversary.   The next day, he returned to Nigeria to rejoin the mission group and begin serving as a missionary pilot.

Now, through our very first graduate, we have been invited to go to Nigeria to set up a flight training school in country to support over one thousand churches’ mission activities.  What an incredible opportunity to spread the Gospel of Jesus.  We are currently planning a trip to visit our brother in Nigeria and to meet with local officials to begin developing the school.

We have Christian legal counsel there already it is their belief that our goal could be accomplished with little or no resistance from the government.

I’m excited to announce that we are working on filling our open calendar dates to sing, pray, preach and prophesy the Word of the Lord and to share our testimonies with all who will listen.  As most of you know, for the last three plus years, we have been partners in business, which has kept us close to home, here in Houston.  As of the 30th of April, we have been released!  Our time constraints have been lifted and God has made a way for us to travel to see many of you we have been waiting to see.  Praise the Lord!  Last week, Start Again Ministries agreed to partner in a work in the Woodlands area north of Houston.  We are excited that we will be working with the Jesus Crusades in a series of open air tent revivals.  Pray that the Holy Spirit move mightily as we lift of the name above all names, Jesus

Now, I’m going to do something a little unusual, but know the Lord is leading.  To accomplish the incredible tasks that lay before us, we need many things.  It takes thousands of dollars per month to fuel, maintain and insure the aircraft, pay rent, pay pilots, etc…  I ask you to do three things.

  1.                  Please make copies of this letter and send or give them to as many people as you can that will pray for this ministry, financially support the work of spreading the Gospel, or would have us sing and minister in their church / club/ TV station/ whatever.

2.                  Pray.  We need the support of you prayer warriors.  Angela is writing new songs and asks that you pray for her.  Ask God how you can further this work.

3.                  Give.  Anything you can.  We can convert old cars/ aircraft/ land/ buildings/ just about anything of value into needed funds.  All gifts are tax deductible.

4.                  If you would like to be informed on a monthly basis of the miracles God is doing in this vital ministry, let us know.  Please email or write us at the above addresses.

I thank God for each and every one of you.  Please drop us a note and let us know how we can be of service to you or to let us know you are praying for us.
