God
Bless America! And God bless the saints!
A
word from the Bishop:
Over the past several weeks, in our
local meetings and Bible studies, God has been speaking to the saints.
“Never more to be troubled by the past! Never more!” and
“Let go of the Labels” seem to be the predominant theme.
Notice I used the singular word “theme” and yet gave two
seemingly different statements. I
used the singular because the message is the same:
God wants us free to do His perfect will and to accomplish His
plans in our lives.
In
order to accomplish this (at times) monumental task, we must release our
ties in the world. All of
us have been labeled either intentionally or unintentionally by our
families, friends, circumstances and by ourselves. Many of us think of ourselves as a product of our environment
or of the circumstances we have
been through. We think of
ourselves as “divorced”, “single”, “single parent”,
“married”, “smoker”, “non-smoker”, “over-weight”,
“skinny”, “employed”, “unemployed”, black, white, brown….
Whatever. But none of these
describes WHO we are or to WHOM we owe our allegiance. None of these
describe us as seen through God’s eyes.
And after all, that IS what matters most for that is TRUTH!
I know it can be tough to step
from “I’m a single mom” to “I’m more than a conqueror through
Christ Jesus!” Or to move from “I’m a recovering alcoholic” to
“I’m a child of the Most High God, walking in faith and victory
according to 1 John 5:4 !” But
literally, that’s what we have to understand and do.
We are children of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! (Romans
8:15) We are ambassadors for the Kingdom of God and to the Gospel
according to Ephesians 6:20. Nowhere
does it say, “except” or “but” or “if”.
We must seek out and understand what God says about us, THEN
apply that to our lives! How else can we expect to walk in the anointing God has for
us? How else can we expect
God’s blessings upon us or His will to be accomplished in our lives?
On
another note: The

real blessing. Check out some of the recent pictures on the Start
