Home Up

THE VISION OF START AGAIN MINISTRIES

It is our vision to bring revival to those who are hungry for God.  Along with revival, healing and reconciliation will come to hurting people.  We want to reach the ones who have walked away from God for whatever reason.  We want to show people that GOD LOVES THEM, and that God deeply desires a close personal relationship with each and every one of us. God has not given up!

Therefore, We can not give up!

Start Again Ministries, Inc.  A short History

Located in Fort Worth, TX, Start Again Ministries is the ministry of Jeffrey W. and Angela Chapman Larson.  Start Again Ministries' actual title is "Start Again Ministries, Inc."  Start Again Ministries is  a non-profit, 501(c) 3,  Texas corporation.
Jeffrey describes their ministry in the following way: "We know what it is like to feel alone, hurt and abandoned. We have suffered the pain of Divorce, Death of a spouse, Loss of a child and Broken Relationships.  We also know the pain of separation from our Heavenly Father.  We understand what it is like to try to "go it on your own".  We understand Peer-Pressure and being a Single Parent.  Whether it be Teen issues or Spousal Abuse, We've been there."
We have found that there is only ONE ANSWER to the problems faced today, Jesus.
It's the music that opens the hearts of the hurting. It's the music that gives us a common starting place. We use the songs the Lord has given to us to show that God Is There, and that He loves us! We know that It's the music that opens the hearts of the hurting. It's the music that gives us a common starting place. We use the songs the Lord has given to us to show that God Is There, and that He loves us! We know that NOW is the right time to START AGAIN! Jesus is there, arms open wide to welcome us back. God does not hold a grudge.  Just as in the story of the prodigal Son, Our Heavenly Father welcomes us with open arms and all of heaven rejoices when we give our lives to Him!!
Where it began:
It started in 1994, when Jeffrey and Angela were married.  After two painful divorces for Jeffrey, and the suicide of Angela's husband of eleven years, God had restored their lives!  So, with a song in their hearts and a tune in their pockets, Jeffrey and Angela Larson began to share of God's love to anyone and everyone that would hear.  Through the invitation of Trinity Broadcast Network and CBN's 700 club, Jeffrey and Angela began to reach large numbers of people that needed to hear their message of hope. The two began to travel, in full time ministry, with their 4 children.
Early in their travels, Jeffrey and Angela discovered that there were many families across America that were not as fortunate as they were.  Many times they would travel to a church and find families with no food.  After several months of agony, it was time to do something about this.  Jeffrey began to contact grocery stores and restaurants to find out what happened to "extra" and "out of date" food.  He was horrified to find out it was just thrown away with the rest of the trash!  Perfectly good food being thrown away. Tons of it, every day!
The first Start Again Ministries Food Pantry was started in their home, in Burleson, Texas.  Jeffrey and Angela would make trips around Ft. Worth to pick up food that was to be discarded.  Soon, the Larsons were feeding over 200 families per month, from their garage!  Volunteers would come and help sort food hauled to the pantry in banana boxes.  Over the next several months, contacts were made at food manufacturing and distribution centers and the flood gates opened!
By 1995, Food Lion Corporation was supplying a semi-trailer load per day for each of the distribution centers for dispersal to the needy people in the Ft. Worth area.  Start Again Ministries opened pantries in Burleson, Weatherford, Ft. Worth, Joshua, Cleburne, and Arlington, Texas.
After each pantry was fully operational, control of the center was given to local churches or organizations to continue the work as Jeffrey and Angela would continue to start new pantries across the United States.
Aviation:
Jeffrey learned to fly at the age of 15.  Since then, aviation has been a very useful tool in business and ministry.    Jeffrey has flown for many charitable organizations, including Angel Flight, and ATAC.  By replacing the bus that Jeffrey and Angela traveled in with an airplane, they have far more time to actually minister to the needs of people.  Through the past several years, Jeffrey realized that other ministries and organizations could be more efficient if they had use of aircraft.  Start Again Ministries answered that call with the "Christian Air Corps", a division of the ministry that concentrates only on aviation support of humanitarian efforts.  Today, Start Again is seeking additional aircraft to increase the capabilities of the Christian Air Corps.
The Christian Air Corps trains pilots for humanitarian support from all parts of the world.  We have trained students that are missionaries from Mexico, the United States, and several countries in Africa.  In November of 2003, Start Again Ministries incorporated in Nigeria, under the name of "Angel Flights Academy" and is the ONLY flight school that will exist in Nigeria. We have received telephone calls from the President of Nigeria and the Director of the Federal Aviation Administration of Nigeria offering support and assistance in this venture.  We currently have a team that is reviewing potential facilities for our school there and Jeffrey will be making a trip to Nigeria very soon to make ready for the first aircraft deliveries.
We utilize the Fort Worth, Texas facility as the main base of operations, and to expand to other cities and countries as satellites of this program.  Training is given free of charge to people currently serving in humanitarian and Missionary positions.  Aircraft are provided for use in humanitarian missions.
Habitats:

We are pleased to announce that funding has been received which allows Start Again Ministries, Inc. to partner in the development of a housing edition to be located in Houston, TX.  This planned housing edition will provide much needed quality housing for literally hundreds of less fortunate families needing homes.  Planned construction time is approximately one year, setting our grand opening date somewhere around January 2008.

Summary:
Since 1994, Start Again Ministries has ministered and provided aid in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Israel, Kenya, Ghana, Somalia, Nigeria, and Latvia.  With their staff, Jeffrey and Angela continue to sing and minister in Churches, jails, and remote areas around the United States and other countries.
